The Message (See Illustration:" The Social Evolution of Dominance")
A little book that could make a big difference.
It struggles with the big questions: Is there a God? Is there life after death? How can we eliminate, war, poverty, and disease? AND through a science fiction story proposes answers to these questions with a certain amount of factual rational. It proposes a means of leader selection by brainwave patterns to assure society of altruistic governance. It is hoped the story is sufficiently interesting to induce you to read the book and enjoy it but the goal is to send a message. To change the World.
The Preface:
The theory of DOMINANCE was essential for evolution to deliver us to the age of enlightenment. Now, we are at a crossroads, either we abandon dominance or be destroyed as a species. I attempt through fiction to reveal these truths about modern society, for as Shakespeare said, "Many a truth is said in jest." It is my hope that with the help of a 100,000 year old probe from Venus, you can see not only our inevitable self-destruction, but also a solution. Through this alien entity, a solution for survival exists with a new set of Ten Commandments and a new vision of a world free of war, poverty, and oppression. The hope for the solution lies within our hearts and the power to succeed lies in our resolve to abandon dominance. To the adherents, the patriots, the company men, the followers, and the leaders, try, as you read this book, to look all the way to the conclusion before dismissing its thesis. By this story, I have attempted to get your attention and take a small step toward a new world order that would give us peace on Earth, teach us respect for each other, and eliminate the malediction of dominance. True, the achievement of these noble goals will require a total change of our social system but the alternative is unthinkable. What have we got to lose? If I could only open one set of eyes, broaden the view of one mind, teach one person tolerance, or break just one link in the chain of dominance, this book would be a success.
